Through William Stafford's poems, learning America, We Need New Names, and visiting the students attending Fargo South High School I began to find out more about other cultures. The critical thinking behind all this work can been seen through this portfolio with the different aspects of the assignments.

Even though there was great experiences with the class, I was also intrigued with learning poetry. Some of the poems that I made was part of learning how to speak like Stafford. At the end of writing these poems, I realized I was doing the process wrong. Stafford is more interested of the act of writing poems than the content.

With understanding cultures and different perspectives, reading, watching, even interacting with different cultures; my views grew broader. Each assignment keeps in mind for there is always room for improvement.
